Recently I have been sort of rediscovering stimming after having suppressed it for so long. It can feel SO GOOD to just stim! And so uplifting afterwards, too. A good stim session can put me in a good mood for days! And it can be really restful to “zone out”. I’m having to consciously experiment…

One of the biggest reasons I have trouble with eye contact? Because I find it a lot easier to actually make sense of what the person’s saying if I’m able to supplement what I’m hearing with lip reading.
